I received an overwhelming request for this dish. So here it is :) Simple yet delicious sticky lemon chicken.
- 4-5 chicken drumstick (No Skin)
- 2 Lemon Sliced
- Soy Sauce
- Salt & Pepper
- Ground Black Pepper
- 1 bunch thyme leaves
- 2 Tablespoon of Balsamic Vinegar
- Finely Chopped Garlic & Ginger
- Oil & 1/2 tablespoon of butter
In a pan heat the oil and butter. Add ginger and garlic. Cook it until it turns light brown.
In medium to medium high heat add the chicken drumsticks. If you look closely i have scrapped the bottom part of the drumstick. This facilitates the cooking process of the chicken. No one should ever serve or be served raw chicken. Use scissors to cut the thyme leaves and add it to the pan.
After you cook the chicken for about 4 minutes each side, add salt & pepper, soy sauce and balsamic vinegar. Cook it for another 5 minutes.
Then add the lemon slices as shown above. Also add half cup of water. Close the lid and cook it for about 8 minutes.
Once the lemon disintegrates add the honey and stir. Cook it for about 4-5 minutes more.
In the end you should have the above consistency.
You can serve it on a bed of rice or any other starch of your choice. Enjoy :)
